Risperdal is an anti-psychotic medication, used to treat mood conditions, disorders, and mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and certain autistic behaviors such as irritibility. Some studies have shown that taking Rispordal can result in a condition called gynomastia, which is the abnormal development of large breasts and breast tissue in young boys and adolescents. In some cases, lactation can even occur, and the condition usually requires surgery.
Other side effects of the medication include a neurological disorder called tardive dyskenesia, when the patient has uncontrolled and involuntary body movement.
If you or your child was prescribed Rispordal and experienced any of these side-effects, you may be entitled to compensation for damages, medical bills, and other expenses or financial hardships. Please call us; we may be able to help.
